Jing Fang, MD
Integrative Psychiatry & Natural Medicine
Dr. Fang received her medical degree from China Medical University, Shenyang, China. She had worked as a staff physician in clinical pathology in China before relocating to the U.S. Dr. Fang first worked as a research fellow in Pulmonary Medicine & Critical Care and Immunology and Rheumatology at University of Alabama for several years. She then worked as a clinical research associate at the Department of Psychiatry of the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY, while obtaining all necessary credentialing to become a licensed psychiatrist in the U.S.
Dr. Fang received her residency training in psychiatry at Resident in Psychiatry, Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Fang furthered her understanding by studying traditional Chinese medicine and completed an Acupuncture training course for physicians at Helms Medical Institute, Berkeley, CA. Dr. Fang was awarded scholarship for Bravewell fellowship program of Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona led by Dr. Andrew Weil. She completed the two year program in 2010.
Dr. Fang's training and expertise in both psychiatry and natural medicine allow her to take an integrative approach in treating a variety of issues ranging from life change issues, depression and bi-polar disorders, anxiety and phobias, psychotic disorders, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, pain, and addictions.
Her integrative methods of treatment include medication, acupuncture, relaxation and stress reduction techniques, and various therapies, including, but not limited to, supportive therapy, cognitive and behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
Dr. Fang is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Pennsylvania Psychiatric Association, and a member of American Psychiatric Association Caucus on Complementary, Alternative & Integrative Care.
